The summer is a very busy time for Regal Tent Productions, and this week we’re working on one of our biggest jobs in July – the Honda Indy! The Honda Indy Toronto is an annual IndyCar Series race, that is being held from July 14-16th this year. The track has 11 turns, is a 2.874-kilometre (1.786 mi) street circuit, and is located at Exhibition Place. It is IndyCar’s second-longest running street race, only behind the Grand Prix of Long Beach and the fourth oldest race on the current schedule in terms of number of races run (35 and counting!)!
This year we are installing more than 40 tents in various zones around Exhibition Place including Honda World, Thunder Alley and Honda Speedzone! These tents vary in sizes and styles, with the largest being almost 100 feet long! We have had crew on site for a week now getting the first of these tents set up, and will be back for another full week next week to complete the job! Here are some shots of us getting the Acura tent ready for all the Honda Indy-goers:
When attending an outdoor summer event like the Honda Indy, not everyone would take the time to think about what goes into putting together an event of this magnitude! There are countless vendors, including food suppliers, the Beer Gardens, interactive exhibits, games for families to enjoy, and of course – the actual race! When ticket holders arrive on July 14th they’ll see a perfectly put together event, but there is so much work that goes into the final product! Here are some in progress photos from this week’s construction of Honda World:
We’re out here getting ready for you, and can’t wait for you to enjoy everything the Honda Indy has to offer! Do you have an outdoor event that you’re planning and could use some help with?
